For the majority of our window and door models you can choose between double-glazed or triple-glazed glass.
What does this mean for you? The term U-value is often used, when determining the insulating qualities of a window. The U-value determines how much heat is lost through your windows and doors. Hence; the lower the U-value, the better the insulation
The type of glass you require depends on the purpose of the window. You can choose between ordinary clear glass and different types of obscure glass (for example for bathrooms). We can also produce windows with sound insulating glass or laminated security glass.
Glazing bars give the window a traditional look, resembling small window panes. You can choose between 25mm, 42mm or 60 mm glazing bars. These are glued on to the glass on the inside and outside of the window, for a modern and energy saving solution. Please note: 60 mm glazing bars are not suitable for windows, as they are quite broad and let considerably less natural light in. On models with crossing vertical and horizontal glazing bars, we recommend 25 mm bars.
Choose georgian bars, if you want the glazing bars to sit inside the glass unit. This makes the job of cleaning the windows easier.
Double glazed windows and doors have spacers in between the glass panes and glazing bars as standard. With tripled glazing this can be chosen as an add-on.
You can choose between an interior Softline finish or Classic finish on all wooden elements. Our Softline profile has smooth angles giving your window a modern and stylish look. The Classic profile comes with special frame and casement moulding for a more classical look.
Inside grooves make the window trim and the window stool easier to install. The finish will often look better if there is a ready-made groove.
Aluminium water drip-rail is available in the same colours as the outside of the window, or they can be anodized. The drip-rail leads the water away from the window, to prevent stagnation of water.
A side swing opening is very practical on windows that you cannot reach from the ground. A side swing bracket makes it possible to turn the window and thereby clean the outside – from inside. Window opens max. 90°Please note: There is no handle operated friction stay, on windows with easy clean hinges.
We offer vents in white or grey. Our trickle & tryk vents allow fresh air into the room even if the window is closed, thus ensuring a better indoor climate in your home.
