What is a tilt & turn window?
A tilt & turn window is primarily characterized by one thing: It always opens inward into the room. Additionally, it can be opened in two different ways, as the name of the window suggests. The tilt function allows the window to be tilted inward for ventilation. The hinges of the window are located at the bottom edge, allowing it to tilt inward from the top of the window frame.
The second opening option is to fully open the window inward to the side. Since the window opens inward and swings to the side, it is very easy to clean from the inside.
Tilt & turn windows are particularly suitable for rooms where cleaning the windows from the outside is difficult. Additionally, the window can be tilted, ensuring good air flow. Therefore, it is also perfect as a basement window, where more frequent airing may be necessary.
